Administrative issue

A stock flagged by the exchange because it risks delisting due to weak results or capital impairment.
Also known as: Stock under administrative supervision

What it is

The exchange designates stocks as administrative issues when they fall short of revenue thresholds, suffer serious capital impairment, receive problematic audit opinions or fail price and volume requirements.

Consequences

Margin trading is restricted and a caution label is shown. If the problem is not fixed, delisting procedures can follow.

What to keep in mind

Check the reason and the conditions for removal in the filing. A cheap-looking stock can wipe out an investment if it ends up delisted.
