Korea stock market daily digest

A record of which Korean companies, catalysts and themes dominated the news each day.

Pick a date to see the companies Korean media wrote about most that day, the stories carried by the largest number of outlets, the catalysts behind them (contracts, earnings, capital raising) and the DART filings published in the same session. Each day is compiled automatically after the close and links through to that day's market wrap and the weekly review. Headlines and links belong to the publishers; article bodies are never stored.

What a daily digest contains

The article count next to each date is how many Korean-language stories we collected that session. A high count means attention, not direction — a company can dominate coverage on a day its shares fall. Weekends and Korean market holidays are missing or thin because both filings and coverage stop.

Opening a date gives the companies most mentioned, the catalyst attached to each (supply contract, earnings, capital raising, clinical results and so on), the themes that moved together, and the DART filings published that day with a link to the original document. Catalysts are assigned by fixed rules over headline wording and filing type, not chosen by hand, so a mislabelled story is possible; the rules and their limits are described on the about page.

The same day's material becomes the market wrap after the close, and five sessions become the weekly review. For scheduled events rather than past ones — holidays, expiry dates, IPO subscription dates — see the market calendar.
