Theme stocks are companies believed to benefit from a common story — AI chips, nuclear power, defense, batteries — and therefore trade in tandem. Korean investors often call them "related stocks".

Government policy, announcements by global companies or technology news trigger simultaneous buying in names expected to benefit.
What to keep in mind
Many rallies involve companies with little real exposure, and themes can collapse together. Check how much of revenue actually comes from the business in question.
