What it is
Orders can only be placed at prices that fit the tick size for the price range. Since January 2023 KOSPI and KOSDAQ share the same tick table.

Under KRW 2,000: KRW 1. KRW 2,000–4,999: KRW 5. KRW 5,000–19,999: KRW 10. KRW 20,000–49,999: KRW 50. KRW 50,000–199,999: KRW 100. KRW 200,000–499,999: KRW 500. KRW 500,000 and above: KRW 1,000.
What to keep in mind
For low-priced stocks one tick is a bigger share of the price, so a move of one or two ticks changes returns noticeably. A wide gap between the best bid and ask (the spread) is an implicit trading cost.
